The Role
As Head of Nordics, you will be a commercially P&L responsible for our Agents, Distributor and House Accounts in the Region (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland). You also have personnel responsibility and assume direct management of the Ecommerce Key Account Manager Nordic placed in Gothenburg.
The role will include:
- Instills a pro-active, strategic, commercial, and collaborative culture empowering our partners and customers to think innovatively about future business opportunities and facilitate change.
- Develop customized future growth plans that support brand objectives of multi-channel distribution while maintaining premium brand equity and professional product positioning.
- Develop and implement a clearly defined annual Business Plan for regional responsibilities delivered through local in-market Agents and Distributor.
- P&L responsibility for the Nordics.
- Build and develop a direct commercial relationship with e-retailers, and manage future commercial negotiations, including marketing investment and pricing decisions- supported by the Ecommerce Key Account Manager Nordic.
- Ensure customer compliance with Dermalogica’s digital requirement criteria and maintain a consistent brand presence across the market with both House Accounts and Agents.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Education Manager, Planning, Operations Team, European Finance Team and Marketing Team.
- Provide agents and distributors customized guidance on effective marketing investment to achieve annual sales objectives.
- Lead in market pricing reviews to ensure alignment to global pricing strategies and guide commercial discussions with the relevant parties.
- Monitor and forecast net sales, costs and inventory stock level.
- Reporting and conducting business reviews.
- Be the strategic eyes and eyes in the Region, including gathering and understanding market trends, strategies, category or customer developments.
This role will require frequent travel within the Nordics to undertake strategic reviews with our agents, distributors and direct customers, support any in-market activities and evaluate new channel opportunities. Due to working with Dermalogica offices in multiple time-zones it requires flexibility to work outside standard office hours. The role can be placed in Sweden or Norway, and you will work from your home office alternatively from the local agent´s office. As Head of Nordics you will report to Vice President International located in the US.
Is this you?
To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with a relevant bachelor’s degree or similar alternatively longer relevant work experience. You have extensive experience in a strategic/ operational role with similar work tasks and experience working across the Nordic markets. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working with premium skin and/or beauty brands or similar. We also believe that experience working with agents and/or distributors is essential to be successful in this role. Experience with sales, budgeting and planning skills is required as well as advanced-level analytical skills. It is crucial to work proactively and autonomy and respond rapidly to the market’s needs and expectations.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are fluent Swedish or Norwegian and English. If you are bilingual/trilingual within the Nordic region it is a plus. We expect you to be IT literate in Microsoft Office.
